Resume is the one and only tool you have to make sure you can step in to the interview room, and hence get your dream job. Hence, to make sure you have a chance to step in the interview room, you have to make sure that your resume is interesting and fantastic enough to catch the interest of your potential employer and able to "stand up" among the crowd. The job searching campaign is actually alike with a marketing campaign, with you yourself as the product to sell, while your resume have to be the salesman to promote you to your potential customer (potential employer).

Below are a few points you shall take note of in writing your resume.

1) Have proof for all your achievements: Instead of just list out all your certificates and qualifications, try to link them up with your experiences you gain and show your potential employer how you could use your skills in your daily jobs. In other words, you need to back all your skills and certificates up, show your employer that you don't only learn it, but you are able to perform them in your daily routines. Please do choose your qualifications and certificates to include into your resume and try to link all back to the job scope that you are applying.

2) Use the right Keywords: Nowadays, lots of companies has already adapted to electronic resume filtering as the number of respondent has increase drastically. To make sure that your resume wasn't filter out in the first stage, do make sure you have the keywords that the resume filtering software is searching. Please do not use generic term in your resume, for example accounting, programmer etc. Do specify your specialty and your field of interest; replace those words by Java Programming, bookkeeping etc.

3) Do not include all job experience: Some people tend to list out all their job experiences they gain in their career path, and make their resume lengthy and boring. Please only choose certain experiences that are relevant and will help you to get the job. In other words, I don't think writing your experiences as a waiter when you are 17 in your resume is not going to help you land any job positions besides applying for any jobs in any restaurant. Keep your resume as simple and short as possible, but with lots of useful information in it.

4) Do not include any experiences that you don't have: Some people will try to cheat in their experiences, trying to get higher chance in landing the position. This is not practical as for things that you didn't experience before; it will be hard to imagine it. You might able to step into the interview room, but still will get caught cheating when there are interviewing you. Please do not try your luck by doing so.

Please to keep in mind that your resume is the only path to get a job interview and hence to get your dream job, please do pay effort in writing an attracting and interesting resume to catch the eye of your potential employer.
